  GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING PAPER TO THE JOURNAL  
    1.  The manuscript should contain :    
         i )    Title of the Paper in capital letters  
        ii )     Names of the authors along with designation and place of work   
        iii )    Abstract in the range of 50-100 words followed by key words   
        iv )    Introduction followed by text  
        v )     Conclusions  
       vi )     References   
       vii )     Notations   
   

2.  The original typescript should be typed in double space and on one side of good quality  A-4 size bond paper with wide margins on left and right side. All pages should be numbered consecutively starting from title page to end of the paper. 

  
   

3.  Generally the maximum length of the paper should be up to 10 / A-4 size pages including text, figures, tables etc which is equivalent to 3500 words, each page being approximately 300 words equivalent . Written  discussion on papers already published should not exceed 500 words

  
    4. Mathematical symbols and abbreviations used in the paper should be explained at the place where they occur first, and arranged alphabetically in an appendix at the end of the paper.   
   
5. Only SI (System International) units must be used throughout the paper .		  
   

6.The number of figure should be kept to the minimum. Each figure should be numbered and have a caption all in capital letters. Figure should be drawn in black ink and the lettering should be only in stencil only. All words within the figure should have their first letter in capital. Except in exceptional cases maximum size of the figures should not exceed130mm*100mm. Figures larger than this size should be reducible to maximum size mentioned. The lettering size should not be less than 2mm on figures of size equal to less than maximum size. One set of original drawings of the figures must be submitted on a very good quality tracing paper-(A-4 size). The lettering must be legible when reduced to 50% size. Photocopies of the figure are not acceptable. Photographs should be added only if they are they are essential to explain the text.

  
   

7.Tables should be appear at appropriate place in the text , should be numbered and their titles should be in capital letters.

  
   

8. All references must be combined in a single list and given alphabetically at the end of the of the text as References. They should be presented as follows :
Boshier, J. and Lermit, R. A.(1977): Network Flow Formation for Optimum Reservoir System, New Zealand Operation Research,Vol.5,No.2,July,pp.85-110.

  
    9. Original and two copies of the manuscript along with original tracing of figures should be sent to the Secretary, Indian society for Hydraulics, CWPRS,Pune-411024.  
    10. The Author will have to submit the text of the manuscript on the floppy if the manuscript is accepted for the publication  
    11.The society will have the right to edit the manuscript and shorten the paper, if in its opinion, a curtailed version can serve the same purpose.
