WELCOME
With the large national investment
on development related to water, energy, transportation and allied fields in the
country, and considering the important role of the hydraulic research in
maximizing the output from these investment, the need for setting up a national
forum to bring together the hydraulic engineering fraternity was keenly felt. In
order to fulfill this need The
Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH) has been set up in 1992 as a
technical, educational and non-profiteering voluntary national organization to
encourage and foster understanding amongst engineers, scientists and other
technical personnel engaged in various activities related to hydraulics.
